MOVIE REVIEW: THIS IS THE END. This movie had such great potential, but was way too hyped because of its hilariously fresh and original concept. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed it for the most part, but for some reason I envisioned myself laughing non-stop for an hour and 45 minutes straight. So, when I wasn’t, I found myself a little disappointed. Some parts just went too long and too far. There were, however, some great parts and some terrific cameos - and if you ever were one of those people that have been longing for a Pineapple Express sequel, let’s just say you will be a very happy camper (great scene!). Also the finale is rather outstandingly entertaining. Surprisingly this movie had a nice message about friendships and kindness to your fellow man. I was amused, but not ROFLing like I wanted to be. Still a fun movie. GRADE: B-

MOVIE REVIEW: MAN OF STEEL. Aside from all the origin backstories and flashbacks that i really liked, this movie was full of some really fast-paced and explosive action. My favorite scenes were when Superman was fighting hand to hand combat-style, just punching the hell out of bad guys. The movie felt like it was about 20 minutes too long. Overall, it was ok - not bad - just ok. Couple of Easter eggs I spotted: LexCorp and Wayne Enterprises logos - yes, as in Bruce f’n Wayne. GRADE: C+

WANT. I love Frank Kozik’s new sofubi figure. It would look good alongside my other toys.
